Boozehounds Palm Springs: Where Dogs Bring Their Humans
Coachella Valley has plenty of restaurants where dogs are allowed – but Boozehounds Palm Springs is where dogs are celebrated. Downright worshipped.
Self-described as “where dogs bring their humans,” it’s the desert’s ultimate canine social club – with cocktails, global cuisine, mid-century modern design, and a menu for both species.

The Human Menu: It Actually Slaps
Let’s be honest — restaurants that lean on theme sometimes forget about flavor. Boozehounds did not. The menu pulls from international influences without falling into the trap of lazy fusion.
There’s something for everyone, and shockingly, it works.

We recommend the following:
- The Smashburger with truffle fries – comfort food done right.
- Any Asian-inspired dish — think tteokbokki, adobo karaage, ramen salad or comforting garlic noodles.
- The Vegan Dogs — a true standout if you go plant-based.
- Weekend Brunch – the real move. Don’t leave without the indulgent breakfast burger or shrimp & grits.
And yes, the cocktails are actually good. Not just instagrammable.

The Real VIPs: The Dog Menu
Your dog doesn’t just get a bowl of water and a few crumbs from your plate. Boozehounds gives them their own menu — with dishes like:
- Teriyaki Salmon Bowl
- Beef and Spinach Bites
- Meatloaf TV Dinner
- Loaded Sweet Potato with Ground Chicken
- Watermelon Gazpacho
- Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal

Plus, even if your fur baby doesn’t order off the menu, there are free treats available, and water bowls come standard. In other words: all dogs are treated like regulars.
Our Verdict, Signed Off by Sushi the Chihuahua
Sushi the Chihuahua, our undisputed pack leader, came, saw, and conquered. At times accompanied by her BFFs Dali and Penny (RIP sweet angel), at times just her humans.

First visit for brunch: Beef and spinach egg bites with a side of bacon, devoured. Second visit: Teriyaki salmon bowl — inhaled with zero regrets.
She gives Boozehounds four paws up and requested a third visit before we’d even paid the bill.

The Atmosphere: Palm Springs Meets Canine Chic
The design screams Palm Springs — classic mid-century modern inside and out, framed by desert light and mountain views.
There’s a dedicated indoor-outdoor atrium specifically for diners with dogs (in addition to an outdoor patio), which means everyone with paws gets priority seating.

The flow is relaxed, social, breezy. Yes, even in the summer.
The center bar is pure retro dream — think Rat Pack meets dog park. The cocktail menu follows suit, featuring classics like a dry martini and an espresso martini but renamed with playful canine puns.
Grab a Cane Corso, Midnight Zoomies or Aunt Donna’s Dirty Poodle, and take in the ambiance.

Merch & More
There’s Boozehounds merchandise available on site, perfect if you’re the type who likes to announce your dog mom/dad status out loud — or gift it to someone equally obsessed with their fur child.
And before you leave? Check the restrooms. They’re quirky, fun, and exactly what you’d hope to find in a restaurant bold enough to call itself Boozehounds.
There’s lots of parking, it’s easy to find, and the building truly is a modernism lovers dream. Don’t miss it.

Boozehounds Palm Springs – Final Word
Palm Springs has always been pet-friendly — but Boozehounds raised the bar and added martinis, mid-century chairs, and menu items your dog will dream about. So, what are you waiting for?
Make the reservation. Bring your human. And do it doggy style.
In loving memory of Penny
